Making Turmeric Latte & Why It's So Good For You!

A deliciously nutritious drink, containing a nourishing blend of common ingredients.

Becoming increasingly popular, it's simple to make, drink hot or cold.

Turmeric is a universal medicine, having potent healing benefits.

This soothing drink is a great way to start introducing more into your diet.

Truly delicious, caffeine free, containing a myriad of health benefits.

RECIPE

2 cups milk or dairy alternative (coconut/almond milk) or replace 1 cup with coconut water

1 inch piece of fresh turmeric (peeled & grated) or 1/2 tsp dried organic turmeric

1 inch piece of ginger sliced or grated

1 cinnamon stick

1 tab virgin coconut oil

1 tab manuka honey

Pinch of black pepper

Place all ingredients in a saucepan and gently heat, but do not boil. Strain to drink.

Froth up with a whisk if desired and grate some nutmeg on the top.

This will keep in the fridge for several days.

TURMERIC (Fresh or Powdered)

Made from the bees that pollinate the Manuka Bush (NZ) & is the most beneficial form of honey due to its properties and nutritional profile.

A traditional remedy:

- Powerful anti bacterial

- Supports a range of digestive illnesses

- Gingivitus

- Sore throat

UMF (Unique Manuka Factor) is a global standard that measures the anti bacterial strength of manuka.

UMF 10+, displayed on label, is considered supportive of healing.

Enzymes in Manuka produce hydrogen peroxide which is responsible for the anti bacterial activity.

BLACK PEPPER

Contains the compound piperine which increases the bioavailability or absorption of the curcumin in turmeric.

VANILLA

Essence or black seeds in the dried bean.

* You could also add chilli or cardamon pods

YUMMY BREAKFAST

Soak 1/2 cup of chia seeds in 3/4 cup water

Add mashed banana and some turmeric latte
