Herbal Medicine

What is Herbal Medicine?

Herbal medicine also called botanical medicine or phytomedicine, refers to using a plant's seeds, berries, roots, leaves, flowers and bark for medicinal purposes.

Plants have been used for their medicinal properties long before recorded history, in all cultures throughout the world.

Early in the 19th century when chemical analysis became available scientists began to extract and modify plant compounds, that also became the base for many pharmaceutical drugs

How can Herbal Medicine help me?

Traditional herbal medicine  however, uses  the whole plant as liquid  extract,  or in dried form taken as a decoction or as a tea.

Western herbal medicine is generally prescribed in a liquid formula, with combinations of suitable  herbs working synergistically, providing highly effective  treatment for illness and maintenance for ongoing good health and improved vitality

Herbal medicine restores function and balance, can tonify and revitalise specific body systems in the most simple and natural  way

Herbal formulas are tailored for the individual and can be used to treat illness, imbalance, dysfunction, or target specific health goals or simply support aspects of health & general vitality that you would like to address

"The art of healing comes from nature and not from the physician. Therefore, the physician must start from nature with an open mind."
